After using just about every portable HF antenna on the market it seemed like there must be a better way.
Most portable antennas are either too big and heavy, take too long to set up, or they are reduced in size using loading coils that reduce the antenna's performance and bandwidth. As portable operators we want small, light weight antennas that don't compromise performance. Because we are usually running low power, every bit of signal matters.
We design our antennas to be small and light weight, perfect for SOTA, travel, backpacking, and a day at the park. We use full size wire elements to maximize performance and bandwidth. As avid hikers and backpackers we understand that every ounce counts and antennas must be robust to stand up to the abuse of operating in the outdoors.
All of our antennas are manufactured in the United States at ISO certified electronic assembly houses. We choose the very best quality components from the best suppliers. We use cores from Amadon, wire from The Wireman, Teflon coax, and gold plated connectors. Even through most of our customers use our antennas for QRP, all of our HF antennas are rated at 100 watts.
